Some People Just Want To Have Fun (by going hard)

For some skiers, reaching the finish line is a victory. For others, it is about beating your friends to the party or setting a personal best. There is another group that is motivated to climb the podium. For the podium chasers on the 40k course, we have $3,000 to be divided equally between men and women on each race day, for a total purse of $6,000.

S2S has partnered with Ski Classics to add this event to the Challenger's series, which means skiers can earn series points and improve their ranking for Pro Series events (plus the improved start seed that goes with the ranking).

The general information package (updated February 6th, 2022) answers many of the event weekend questions.

Ski Classics

The Ski Classics is a world-wide series of nordic events, both snow and rollerski.

The Pro Tour series features professional teams battling it out with live video coverage of every race day.

The Challengers series is a more relaxed way to explore the globe, without the camera crews in helicopters and snowmobiles, but with all the features that make Ski Classics the signature of a great ski event.

Sovereign2SilverStar chose the Challengers series because it has the same requirement to provide a good experience to all skiers, creates an opportunity for skiers to earn points and improve their ranking for future wave selection, and join a global movement to enjoy snow in exotic places.

Prize Money

Prize money will be $500 to win, $400 for second, 300 for third, $200 for fourth, and $100 for fifth. This is awarded for the long course on both days for both genders. Sixth, seventh, and eighth earn a free entry into next year's event.
